For more than thirty years, JERRY GARCIA, wrote and played guitar with the legendary rock bands the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band, and with the groundbreaking mandolin player David "Dawg" Grisman he formed Old & in the Way in 1973 and the Garcia/Grisman band in 1990. His innovative style earned Jerry Garcia the respect of his peers and the appreciation of millions of loyal fans around the world.

Jerry Garcia is celebrated not only as a musician but also as for his visual art. His paintings and digital artwork have been displayed in galleries and one-man shows as far away as Japan. His art has also been featured in popular lines of neckties and home furnishings and used to illustrate his "anecdotal personal history in words and pictures," HARRINGTON STREET, which was published posthumously in 1995.
