Jerry & David on Dawg's Waltz

For "Dawg's Waltz" Iíve taken David and Jerry's parts together for the melody and Jerry's solo, so you can see both the accompaniment and lead together. The mandolin melody has a lot of beautiful tremolo, and the guitar lead has Jerryís characteristically rhythmic phrasing.

Itís a great idea to check out the accompanyment playing as well-the choices of notes and voicings of chords, as well as the unnotatable feel. Rhythm playing doesnít generally get as much attention as lead playing, which is ironic, since we usually spend more time playing rhythm when playing in a band context.

The guitar has some string bending notation - BW indicates a whole step bend; B1/2 a half step, BR is a bend release (start with the string already bent to pitch, then release the bend).
